Missing installation_type

Postby areeda » Thu Nov 18, 2010 5:48 am

I had an interesting installation problem with 1.9 RC 1.
I'm brand new, so this may be cockpit error.

In /var/log/httpd/error.log I find:
PHP Notice: Undefined index: installationType in /var/www/testlink/install/installCheck.php on line 40, referer: http://jsa/testlink/install/installIntro.php?type=new

This lead to configuration check errors which thought the writable directories were not writable. (I did chown to apache:apache)

Changing the "type=new" in the url to "InstallationType=new" seems to have fixed it. At least it allows me to continue, finding the directories writable.

1. 1.9.0 released => check it to understand if error has been solved
2. as indicated in forum does not use it for reporting issues -> use mantis

Sorry I didn't realize it was one of those forums.

My mistake for installing something I download over the weekend on a Wednesday, and for asking about trouble on my first install after only searching your forums.
