Child Requirements Specification Document

Postby jvanthou » Sat Jan 16, 2010 1:40 pm

TestLink is really a great tool. Congratulation to the team.

I would have one request which would help a lot for Requirements Definition.
Contrary to the Test Case, it is not possible to define children for Requirement Specification Document.

I would like to see such features implemented in order to support the following use case :

Specification Document
|_ Feature Group 1
| |_ Feature 1.1
| |_ Feature 1.2
|
|_ Feature Group 2
| |_ Feature 2.1
| |_ Feature 2.2
| |_ Feature Group 2.3
| | |_ Feature 2.3.1
| | |_ Feature 2.3.2

read carefully config.inc.php you will find option to do what you request. Always do:
1. search on user manual (not updated to last minute)
2. config.inc.php and const.inc.php

Hi there

We've be using TestLink 1.8 for a while and are happy with the results - however, we too would like to be able to use the functionality described above. Seeing this post, we have downloaded and installed 1.9 to try it out, but I can't work out how to achieve multiple levels of requirements?

In config.inc.php, the following is defined:
$tlCfg->req_cfg->child_requirements_mgmt = ENABLED;

I couldn't find anything in const.inc.php that seemed applicable.

Is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks in advance...
