API - Attach a result file using "Execute and save result"

Postby volkertoewe » Wed Oct 22, 2014 11:33 am

Hello,
we try to integrate our automated tests using a local XMLRPC-server for automated test execution. Each automated test generates a protocollfile with result details. We have a need to attach this file to the test execution. Is it possible to return the attachment to the XMLRPC request? Perhaps I can get some detail information about the result has map.
Test execution without returning the result file works fine already.
Thanks in advance.

on XML-RPC API this method exists
function uploadExecutionAttachment()

this means TWO calls, once to set exec result, other to provide attachment, IMHO is not a bad solution

please let me know

Ok, so I try to implement the upload of the attachment in my local XMLRPC-server in a seperate function, called by the executeTestCase function. I will do it in the next weeks.
Thanks, Volker
