TL 1.9.13 Assign Testcase to more than one tester

Postby stef-lhm » Wed Sep 09, 2015 12:04 pm

If i assign a Testcase to two different users. User A is tester and User B is tester as well.
Only User A has the possibility to execute the test and save the result.
User B sees the Testcase listed, but he has no chance to save a result, cause the DropDown and the Notice are NOT shown.
If the second assigned User is senior tester or leader, the problem does not exist?

Is it right, that only the tester(role) which was assigned on first position is able to save a result? + every senior and leader?

Why?

sorry fman, but your only hint is reinstall.
that is not fair. when i ask you if it is a bug or a feature, the expectable minimum is "yes or no".
i sit here for hours to find something in the forum and the bugtracker, checking everything twice and you say "reinstall".
if you have a releaseprocess, it is not that easy to reinstall the latest code all the time.

a little bit more help will be helpful ;)

thank you!

Please do not talk about fair or not fair, IMHO is a wrong approach.
You do not need more that 30 min to do a fresh install and do this test a a decent laptop.
First step on ISSUES (or potential issue) is to ask user to do this minimun effort.
Sometimes other that search on MANTIS (that is the FIRST PLACE TO LOOK) a good approach is ALSO TO GIVE A LOOK
TO the issue on MANTIS THAT CONTAINS LIST of ALL AVAILABLE FIXES.(Availables hot-fixes for 1.9.13 & How To get full fixed package from GitHub)

Check also if as reporter you can access the CHANGE LOG feature

I found the right hint in viewtopic.php?f=54&t=7821#p19655
for Multiple user assignment it would be much better to use single builds or plattforms.
