Unable to create task in Jira - Invalid issue type specified

Postby mchrzaszcz » Fri Aug 23, 2013 1:22 pm

Hello everyone,

I've encountered a problem creating issue for a found bug:

Create JIRA Ticket FAILURE => com.atlassian.jira.rpc.exception.RemoteValidationException: Invalid issue type specified: 0 - serialized issue:a:5:{s:7:"project";s:3:"MTS";s:4:"type";i:0;s:7:"summary";s:118:"/ASR/Architecture check/ASR-4:Distributed architecture – statistics - Executed ON (ISO FORMAT): 2013-08-23 13:58:53";s:11:"description";s:214:"Execution ID: 4 Tester: admin Test Plan: Functional tests after release Platform: mtstest@rambo.krakow.comarch Build: ASR-4-12-4 Executed ON (ISO FORMAT): 2013-08-23 13:58:53 Execution Status: failed ";s:9:"issuetype";i:1;}

My current configuration of xmlrpc connection (by the way, why it is called Jira:soap? Jira doesn't support soap at all...):
<!-- Template jirasoapInterface -->
<issuetracker>
<username>mateusz.chrzaszcz</username>
<password>myPassword</password>
<uribase>http://sith.krakow.comarch/jiratest/</uribase>
<uriview>http://sith.krakow.comarch/jiratest/browse/</uriview>
<uriwsdl>http://sith.krakow.comarch/jiratest/rpc/soap/jirasoapservice-v2?wsdl</uriwsdl>
<uricreate>http://sith.krakow.comarch/jiratest/secure/CreateIssue!default.jspa</uricreate>
<projectkey>MTS</projectkey>
<issuetype>Bug</issuetype>
</issuetracker>

<issuetype>Bug</issuetype> certainly exists for this project.
I've searched through topics in here but without success. Could anyone give me a hint, what could cause this error and how to solve it? I would really appreciate it.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Kind Regards,
Mateusz
