JIRA Rest integration: Create Issue -> Connection ko

Postby pharmmed » Thu Apr 07, 2016 11:35 am

After changing our Testlink SOAP Integration to REST integration, it's not possible to create an JIRA issue in testlink anymore .
Linking an existing JIRA issue to a testcase is not a problem.

The pop-up window for creating issues appears, but after hitting the save-button, we get the information "ko".
No error message is created.

We've tried everything that we've found in this forum, but nothing changed.

JIRA: 7.1.1
Testlink: 1.9.14

Our configuration:
<issuetracker>
<username>testlink</username>
<password>testlinkpw</password>
<uribase>https://ourjira.server.com</uribase>
<uriapi>https://ourjiraserver.com/rest/api/2/</uriapi>
<uriview>https://ourjira.server.com/browse/</uriview>
<uricreate>https://ourjira.server.com/secure/CreateIssue!default.jspa</uricreate>
<userinteraction>1</userinteraction>
<projectkey>KEY</projectkey>
<issuetype>5</issuetype>
<issuepriority>8</issuepriority>

What we've done/already tried:
    REST is added to the project in TestLink and marked as Active
    testlink user is JIRA admin
    php5-curl is installed
    no hints in the testlink logs
    same problem with firefox/chrome/internet explorer
    with JIRA version 7, rest api is already enabled (and I am able to to hit the uriapi, uriview and uricreate)

Do you maybe have any idea, why we can't build a connection to JIRA when creating an issue?

Thank you very much in advance!

This configuration using Jira On demand has no issues

<issuetracker>
<username>testlink.forum</username>
<password>forum</password>
<uribase>http://testlink.atlassian.net/</uribase>
<uriapi>https://testlink.atlassian.net/rest/api/latest/</uriapi>
<uriview>https://testlink.atlassian.net/browse/</uriview>
<projectkey>ZOFF</projectkey>
<userinteraction>1</userinteraction>
<issuetype>1</issuetype>
</issuetracker>

Please try to test your TestLink installation against the previous config, to check if works, this can be useful.

Just to be sure, have you checked that TestLink consider connection OK, using the Issue Tracker list ?

Hi fman,

thanks for your response. Yes when I test the connection it says it's ok.
when I want to create an issue it's also no problem to read the component, priority and version field values, but creating still fails.

I'll test your issue tracker config asap, I think I have to give the testlink server access to external URLs first since it seems to be blocked at the moment.

Hi,

sorry for the long wait - I got access persmission to the test jira now and could test it - it works fine, so it has do be something about our Jira configuration or the connection between Testlink and Jira.
Are there any specific ports that have to be accessible between testlink and jira, especially when creating an issue via REST?

FYI there are several settings that impact wether REST integration works for specific Jira project or not such as fieldconfigurations and access schemas of course
