Test Case

Postby vijenjoy » Mon Feb 09, 2009 11:33 am

I am new to Test link and evaluating from last few days and i have following doubts in the Software :

1. Whenever i create a New Test Case then Test Case Id is incremented by 2 i.e. Test Case Id is not in sequential Order.

2.While Exporting Test Cases into Excel (the same way as mentioned in User Manual) from XML file then Test Case fields displyed in different Order i.e. Steps and Summary Fields are coming at the end and Expected Results Field displayed next to Test Case Id Field in the Excel Sheet as i am using Microsft Excel 2003 standard version. why it shows like this.

3. Is it possible that we can add our own fields in Test Case Format such as Module name, Dependencies. If yes then how can we Add.

4. While Adding Test Cases into Test Plan, Test cases are not visible in under Test Suit.

5. Is it possible that we can schedule Test Case Execution Process by Test Link

Looking to your reply.

>>> Whenever i create a New Test Case then Test Case Id is incremented by 2 i.e. Test Case Id is not in sequential Order.
discussed hundred of times, internal Id follows his own pattern, you have to use EXTERNALID.

>>> 2.While Exporting Test Cases into Excel (the same way as mentioned >>in User Manual) from XML file then Test Case fields displyed in different >>Order i.e. Steps and Summary Fields are coming at the end and >>Expected Results Field displayed next to Test Case Id Field in the Excel >>Sheet as i am using Microsft Excel 2003 standard version. why it shows >>like this.
what is the problem?

>> . Is it possible that we can add our own fields in Test Case Format such as Module name, Dependencies. If yes then how can we Add.

Please read user manual

>> 4. While Adding Test Cases into Test Plan, Test cases are not visible in under Test Suit.

I do not understand the issue

>> 5. Is it possible that we can schedule Test Case Execution Process by Test Link
