While importing you can change the import type.
There is a option how you want to import your testcases.
You have to change the option "Action for duplicates" from "create new" to "create new version".

This will solve your problem

I had the same problem.
In my case there were 205 files missing.
Could you check up the folter (...)/gui/templates_c/
Those files had been missing on my system.
After i had placed them into this directory, I had the normal interface ...

I have done this 5 times bevor, and it worked. And i have used Opera ... The only differnce was the envirement.... I did it on a windows with xxamp. The error that occured was on a linux server. It would be a good Idea if you can display SQL syntax errors that are logged in the files in Testlink too.... I don't know if it is possible... But if, i would create this role... I need those alarms because i am the only one who has access to the server. If i am not at office and there will happen an error while importing Testcases in xml files nobody will be able to read the logs... And the error message on the frontend does not display the same error messages. They depend ...
