Which testlink version fixed the ghost TC version issue
Hello I am using v1.9.9. I noticed that there is a bug with ghosting test cases. When I ghost a test case, I remove the version info so that it links to the latest version. But when I update the linked test case, it does not update the link to the new version. What I see happening is that although t...

[SOLVED] Some advice needed please on migration of TL
Hello all I have searched the forums and online already to see if anyone has tried similar, but I think because this is rather new there isnt much about it online. I am trying to get some advice on migrating my testlink from my laptop (temp test solution) to a more meaty machine. My laptop is runnin...

Re: "Test plan -> build" db relationship
Francisco Thanks for the reply. I absolutely know how these things happen, this happens at my company too where things could have been done differently but it is too late to change now and not worth it. I had a good think about this last night and think I have a way around this; I will just need to ...

"Test plan -> build" db relationship
Hello With me using testlink for over 2 months now I am starting to really get to understand it. Today I was trying to add new test plans and noticed something which I think is not quite right. I am sure there is a good reason for it, but from my POV as a former software & Db developer and now a...

Re: Integration with BTS - TRAC
fman thanks for the reply. For #2 I am not sure whether this is a bug or not, I looked at the php_errors.log file and saw this: [30-Sep-2013 16:43:19 Europe/London] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'SmartyCompilerException' with message 'Syntax Error in template "C:\Apache24\htdocs\testlink\...

Integration with BTS - TRAC
First off, I have read at least 20-25 different web pages about this issue, both here on this forum and just general WWW pages. Many of these are for older versions (1.9.4, 1.9.5) and the issues have either been solved or dont apply in my version. I have also read the manual carefully. However, ther...

Re: Versions when ghosting and/or linking to other test case
Hi Thanks, I have upgraded to 1.9.8 and see the details after looking at the release notes. I have been playing around with this feature for the last hour but it wasnt working as I expected. Now that I know it works in 1.9.9 that makes sense. I will look into patching my 1.9.8 to get this working Fr...

Re: Versions when ghosting and/or linking to other test case
Thanks for the reply I am not clear on how to tell the ghost to always use the latest version. All the web pages I have read don't mention anything about the version being automatically set. Could you please point me to a resource that explains this? I am using 1.9.5 at the moment, but will probably...

Versions when ghosting and/or linking to other test cases
Hello I have read as much as I can in the manual, on the forums and on the mantis bug tracker (e.g. tickets 4796 & 5322) but have not been able to find an answer. I am trying to find a little more information about ghosting and test case linking, and in particular the versions linked to. I am us...

Re: Proposed solution to TL 1.9.5 PHP parse error ::
I thought I was confined to apache 2.2 and therefore PHP 5.2.17, but I have just found out that I can get a VC9 version of apache 2.4.3 so could then use VC9 version of PHP 5.4.10 so that should bring me up to date.

Re: Proposed solution to TL 1.9.5 PHP parse error ::
Hi Thanks for reply. If you have a suggestion for a better title I am all ears - it went through a few iterations and nothing seemed quite right :) RE the PHP version, there are newer versions but they are all compiled using VC9 and the PHP windows site explicitly states to use the VC6 compiled vers...

[PHP 5.2 ISSUE]Proposed solution TL 1.9.5 PHP parse error ::
Good morning First post on the forums here, so I hope this is in the correct place. I am a new TL user and just finished installing yesterday. I was having some trouble with PHP parse errors but managed to fix it, so I thought I would record what happened and the solution (plus log a bug ticket) to ...
