You can create a dummy Product; 'DummyProduct to Copy Components'.
Copy the component of the test case you want to copy the dummy product.
Then copy the component from the dummy product to the product you want to copy the test case to.

You need to work around it by treating your test cases as test steps. So each test case has only 1 step and 1 result.
