Re: 1.9.4 unable to import testcases using xls
Hi, Please don't get me(us) wrong, TL is the most beautiful tool there is for QA people out there. With newer releases, it is getting more robust and useful, its just that, typically, QA has to plan in a hurry, so testers tend to or always want to put in their test cases in brief, i.e. a spreadsheet...

Re: 1.9.4 unable to import testcases using xls
When a single test case is exported as XML, and then imported into spreadsheet as described in "file format documentation", instead of seeing four columns (name, summary, steps and expected results) I see a lot more columns, with internal id, name, node_order, external_id, version, summary...

Migration from 1.9.2 to 1.9.4?
I am running 1.9.2 on the production server. What would be the proper steps to migrate from 1.9.2. to 1.9.4?
I checked the documentation, but no mention of 1.9.2.
Thanks.

Mismatched counts after backup to a staging server.
Hi, Most recently, I backed up my production database (MySQL) and restored to my staging server. Restore was on a clean empty testlink (MySQL) database. I was hoping to see everything exactly the same as production (up to the time when I backed up the dB). However in my project-->Metric Dashboard, t...

Re: Importing xml, xls using /doc/util
Hello, Did you ever manage to resolve the VB errors you were receiving. I am facing the same issue, clicking on either of the buttons causes an error. Tried to correct the VB->Tools->references "Missing" library (my case Missing: Microsoft Word 14.0 object library) gives different error. I...

Under Test-Execution tab, if user clicks on the top-level suite, you see "Export TestCases" button.
This exports to an XML the test executions.

Re: problem with testcase assignments
Even when using manual steps, there is no way to clone previous assignments on to new build. I am trying to create a New Test Plan from an existing Test Plan, where in I would only like to pick a subset from original Test Plans with same assignments, I am unable to find a simple way to do this, but ...

Re: Error when importing testcases from xls
I use the code snippet from this post
http://www.teamst.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3525
and it imports four columns data from an xls file in 1.9.0, but not in 1.9.2. If we do not support import from excel, how is user expected to import test cases from an xml file?
Thanks
