Re: [SOLVED] Create user => error password must not be empt
With DB instead of MD5 we cannot login anymore. This will probably be some configuration issue but right now we cannot do more testing because we cannot interrupt the users. We will set up a test system on Monday June 6, then test again and come back with a qualified feedback or error report if nece...

[SOLVED] Create user => error password must not be empty!
Hi, I tried to create a user but I cannot save it because of a missing password. I think this happens because of a missing or wrong confuguration but I'm not sure. Can you advice? This is what I did in TestLink 1.9.10: 1. Logon with administrator permissions 2. Go to User Management > View Users 3. ...

Best practise for GUI tests - where to store screenshots?
Hi Community, Amongst the components we test are some that have GUIs. We wonder what's best practise for GUI tests - where do you store and display the mockups or screenshots that show the nominal state of a GUI? As attachments to the suites, or per test case, or do you use documents that collect sc...

Re: Is there a limit adding test cases to plan? [1.9.8]
Hi mchinery, We experienced this problem, too. At first, we tried set max_input_vars in php.ini to 5000 and then to 10000 which increased the number of test cases added to the test plan but did not solve the problem. For us, the solution was to update PHP. You need PHP 5.3.10 or higher. See Mantis: ...

[SOLVED]Different formatting options in test cases and steps
Hi, We use TestLink in version 1.9.8 (Lobizon). When creating test cases and steps, the editor that is used for Create Test Case > Summary and Precondition fields has more options than the editor that is used in Create Step > Step actions / Expected results. For instance, in test cases you can use b...

Re: Bulk test execution
How did you get 'Actual time' for test case AND test suite? I can only add the cf_execution_time field for test case OR test suite.

Re: How to build up the basic structure?
Thank you, this helped a lot. Is somebody out there who could give us a short WebEx or something similar? By the way, I asked for a jumpbox already, and I will post a review on sourceforge as soon as I know a little more about TestLink. (I don't like this one line yeah-great-stuff posts, because the...

How to build up the basic structure?
We are quite impressed how capable TestLink is, and now we wonder how we can build up the basic structures to get our realities represented in TestLink as good as possible. We have two product lines A and B. A has 2 products, B has 10. Both A and B have about 50 components. Most of the components ar...

Question on Bulk Execution
Hi guys, I checked submitting of test results for single test cases as well as submitting results for whole suites by bulk change. Now, I wonder if I can have both? I'm quite new to TestLink and might have overlooked some switch... Imagine a situation like this: Some suite has been assigned to you, ...
