Re: Get an error after trying to delete events from event vi

Can you echo/print the query from that area to see if it appears to be complete? Look at the query structure: correct spacing around clauses, all values present, quoting is complete, etc... I don't have SQL server anymore, but maybe we can figure it out based on the query. [I did NOT see the same er...

Re: Send mail feature in test link 1.8.5

Did you check out the Mantis issue mentioned earlier?

I would say there must be something relative in that issue that has helped the mailer going forward into 1.9.x.

Re: Installation stuck

Have you checked the files in the /logs directory for any potential clues? There is also webserver-based logging that might help too. Another thing you could try, if the logs don't seem to help, is to temporarily turn on the display_errors variable in php.ini: In php.ini, look for this line: display...

Re: Send mail feature in test link 1.8.5

You might need to post your latest mail settings. [make sure to xxx out any password stuff] Are you really the admin@gmail.com? That seems to be a highly doubtful user for the config as a basis for the 'FROM' address. In 1.8.x, gmail config was tough, but not impossible. Have a look at this thread t...

Was the production server still in use during the backup?

What sort of trouble are you having?

I believe the config [and custom_config] files have basic information.

Re: BUGZILLA - Error adding bug number on Testlink 1.9.3

For the charset, you might [NOT saying that you do] need the iconv.so extention in PHP. See this post where someone needed it for a postgresql 9.1 installation. For the other part, check the Testlink logs and events for any possible clues. [could be a different issue somewhere] Also check the server...

Re: BUGZILLA - Error adding bug number on Testlink 1.9.3

I am able to remotely connect and execute queries on bugzilla db from testlink host using a psql client session. Any thoughts? Thanks I'm not 100% sure, as I haven't worked with postgres in a LONG, LONG time... I don't know how the psql works or what special ports [if any] might be in play? I just ...

Re: BUGZILLA - Error adding bug number on Testlink 1.9.3

I have helped others with a two host, Bugzilla MySQL-based config. I know you said "postgres", but the situation is probably similar in nature. Basically, the Bugzilla host must allow the other host to access the DB "remotely", and that is what probably needs to be configured for...

Re: Cannot upload attachments after TL transfer

Hi, what for a log file must I read? Michael The idea is to check the logs to see if any clues about the upload_area might exist. For example, "access denied", "permission denied", or some other such messages related to the upload_area. Check the testlink log and the server logs.

Re: Testlink icons are not displayed in IE8

Good find!

Is your IE8 behind with patches and updates?

According to one of the posts from that link by the Microsoft Person [EricLaw?]
The lookahead downloader BASE issue was fixed in the October cumulative update for IE8
...which was back in October 2009?
