First a bit of background. We have a Solaris server that is currently running TestLink 1.1, 1.2, and 1.6 for various projects. I am attempting to install version 1.9 to test the MS Word docuement generation, but the automatic installlation will not run. Attempts to install have been run on both Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. The following versions of the prerequisite programs are running on the server:
SunOS ssdwww 5.10 Generic_127111-06 sun4u
PHP Version 5.2.6
Apache Version Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) PHP/5.2.6
mysql Client API version 5.0.51b
Testlink has been installed on the server and the various directory permissions were configured per the installation manual. When a browser is pointed to the test link directory, the redirect to the installation directory does not occur. Instead a blank page is all that is seen. When the browser is pointed to the install directory, the first installation page comes up. Upon selecting the new installlation option, the GNU license page comes up. When the agreement is accepted,
the next page again comes up blank and no further actions are possible.
So far I have tried to install versions 1.9 and 1.8 with the exact same results. Has anyone been successful running the installation on Solaris or also run into this issue and found a solution. Could I be having issues because the installation is not being run as root? Unfortunately, this is an IT controlled server, so I am not able to attempt updating any of the prereq tools without knowing which to update and to what version.
Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
