how to set default execution type to "Automated"

hi all,
if i create a new test case i see the default execution type selected to "Manual" i want to change the same to "Automated" currently i do it manually. i want to set the default execution type to Automated
also even for "copy or move" the test case the execution type is set to "Manual" i want to change for this option as well .

i want to set the default execution type to Automated . kindly help

I would also like to know how, i have tried to switch all the default manual type in testcase.class.php to auto and it didnt seems like to work, ended up i switch the constant assignment from 1 to 2 for manual to auto but i think this is not the proper way to do so, so can anyone advise?
