Upgrade PHP in the testlink

Dear All,

I searched for a hint in the forum regarding the situation I have, I could not find a relevant post, hence posting a new topic.

Iam at a situation where, in one of our testlink server the php version is v5.6.34, and there is push to update to newer version of PHP. The testlink version is 1.9

It looks like testlink 1.9 doesnot support the higher version of PHP ( I used xampp latest package ).

Now, Iam looking for a suggestion on how can I got to the latest version of software, if possible only PHP, if not possible, then the entire suite of testlink, php and apache.
