test tree doesn't populate in new 1.8 installation

Post by psullivan »

Hello,

I'm trying to get a 1.8RC4 installation up and running on a Solaris 10 box. The install was pretty smooth, and I imported a .xml testsuite structure. I know the test suites and such are there in the database, but the test specification tree doesn't populate with the test suites.

I adjusted $tlCfg->treemenu_type and got different results, none of them satisfactory. If I use EXTJS I get an empty root (i.e. just the project name) on the "Edit Test Cases" screen and the same on the "Add/Remove Test Cases" screen. If I use LAYERSMENU, DTREE, or JTREE I get a "No Test Specification available!" message in place of the tree on the Edit screen. However, I do get a fully populated tree on the Add/Remove screen with any of those three options.

Do you have any advice on why the tree won't populate?

host configuration:
TestLink 1.8RC4 (02/05 build)
Solaris 10 w/Cool Stack using MySQL

client configuration:
Win XP Pro
IE 7.0.5730.13
Attempted with both Admin and Leader rights
