GUI configuration

Post by groucho »

We are evaluating TestLink at the moment at our company. Some users are not very confident with the menu structure. Is there a possibility to rearrange the main window, especially the title bar? So we would like to address menu items (e.g all items below “TestSpecification” ) directly from a drop-down menu wherever you are. So that you don’t have to enter “Home” every time you want to change the part of the program you want to work in.

Thanks for answers,
Stefan

Feelings about UI

Post by postb99 »

Hello,

(Version 1.8.2).

I also find this behavior isn't very fun : click on "home" every time you want to change section and have a section detailed content.

I observe that "Results" link shows a menu (list) that takes items from "tests execution" section, but somewhat more detailed (more items). I haven't had a detailed look.

So why not make "specification" menu link come to a similar list which content would be the allowed items of the home page specification section.

I have an additional comment : on home page, in "test execution" section, there is an item that corresponds to "execute" top menu, while another one corresponds to "results" top menu. This section is surrounded by two administration sections (admin profile). For me this part of the UI isn't very clear (maybe because the execution section is in the middle, maybe because it's only half-translated (French)). However, it only happens with admin profile I think.

Maybe slightly separate test execution results from test execution itself ?
