Testlink and our bugtracking system

Hi all,

I tried to integrate our bugtracking system into Testlink but was not successful (no additional entry field as it was described with the Mantis example). Our bugtracking system is based on SQL Server 2000 and not on the machine where Testlink is installed. Does this make any difference? Are there any other entries to set in the appropriate config file?
How can I determine whether Testlink has found the database or not?

With TL 1.6 you can only use MySQL if you want to see the
bugs on TL pages.
If you want to use other DB you will need to do several changes to
may be writting specific functions to access YOUR DB not using mysqlconnect
and other mysql* functions
