Hi!
I have been asked to upgrade my company's Testlink installation from 1.7.0 to 1.8.3.
I have no experience with the technologies involved (apache, php, mysql, testlink) and I am finding the documentation a little bit tricky to comprehend at times (this this is probbaly not helped by my ignorance of aforementioned technologies).
I have backed up my database (with a straight dump via MySQL) though I want to back it up again using the correct procedure (http://www.teamst.org/index.php?option= ... 5&Itemid=2).
Regardless I have put 1.8.3's 'install' directory under the testlink dir, and when I navigate to <testlinkwebdir>/install/index.php the correct interface will appear, however when I click 'Upgrade Database Schema' I am told 'TestLink will carry out a number of checks to see if everything's ready to start the setup.'...
and then nothing happens. I believe at this point it should be giving results for the versions of PHP and MySQL and whatever else it looks for, but the screen remains blank.
Does anyone know where I can find a log file to see what's going on here?
Does anyone know if having your PHP etc installed on the D: drive (yes it's set up on Windows - shocking) can affect this script that's failing?
Finally is it even possible to upgrade from 1.7.0 to 1.8.3?
Thanks, hope someone can help I enjoy this sort of thing a lot more than some of te other tasks I get handed!
Help upgrading from 1.7.0 to 1.8.3
