Test Plan Vs Test Suite

Post by Sofiane »

I am trying to start using TestLink (Release 1.6.3), i Found it very good for my needs.
Just to be sure that i am not missing somethings here... i Read User Guide, and many posts here.
My question is : is there any link in TL about TestPlan, i found nothink about that.
For me Test Plan = Test Suite ?
am i right ?
thanks.

No. You can create Test Plan via link on right side of TestLink main page (if you are at least "leader" role). Test Plan includes builds, choosen set of test cases and results for particular builds.
Theoretically Test Plan include more (resources, risks, etc.). You can expect more functionality in future releases.
Is it answer?

In 1.7 term Test Suite has been removed, and restablished Test Plan,
then where you read Test Suite in 1.6.x, please READ Test Plan.
