Importing testcases from Word Document to Testlink

Hello,

We have installed Testlink and it works fine. We have our existing test cases in Word document and i need to import those in Testlink. Testlink support XML file for importing. Hence i was trying to identify any tool that converts Word to XML format, so that i can import all the test cases in Testlink.

If anyone has gone through this process, please let me know how did you do this and which tool you have used to convert from Word to XML. Looking forward to your inputs.

If there are no custom fields, Copy the tables to excel and then try importing excel file. Currently we dont support importing Word files. I donno about 3rd party tools,. Well you can create a macro i guess and give a try

Hi,

As you mentioned, i tried copying the testcases in excel and imported it. But it shows "The filename C:\wamp\www\testlink\gui\templates_c\g90sanj40uj68mm0mg1isbct85-importtcs.xls is not readable". Any inputs?

Hello,

I tried again to import an excel file to testlink and it works partially. When it got imported, testlink shows the title and summary, but steps and expected results was not shown. I am not sure whether it got imported. Any inputs?
