[SOLVED] upgrade from 1.9.1 to 1.9.2

Post by MSon »

I can not upgrade from 1.9.1 to 1.9.2

1.I copied and exctracted files to new location.
2.Then launched testlink installation.
2. Selected "Upgrade from 1.8.x versions to 1.9.2 ONLY"
3. When installation is finished the following is shown:

"Your DB Schema DB 1.4 is the last available, then you don't need to do any upgrade.
Script is finished."

After that i am trying to login to new testlink: host/New_testlink_location or host/New_testlink_location/login.php

I expect that login page will be shown, but install page is shown again.

I feel that i do not understand something in the upgrading procedure and doing something wrong.
Could somebody help me?

>> 2. Selected "Upgrade from 1.8.x versions to 1.9.2 ONLY"
why are you using this option if you do not have a 1.8.x version ?

Please explain what is not clear on:

I think the following from http://www.teamst.org/index.php/news-ma ... 2011-03-19 leads to confustion:
This release requires a MANUAL update of the database scheme if you Update from Testlink 1.9.x
Since 1.9.1 matches 1.9.x

But in the testlink-1.9.2/README, it mentions that:
If you are upgrading from 1.9.1 NO DB upgrades will be needed.

@MSon, @RGM - There is no DB upgrade required for 1.9.1 -> 1.9.2. This means that you should not go to the "/testlink/install" URL. Just go straight to "/testlink/index.php". If "/testlink/index.php" is redirecting you to the install page, then check to see that you done this step from the README:
- Copy your old config_db.inc.php and custom_config.inc.php to NEW DIRECTORY.

May be you are right, but manual upgrade does not means launch installer .
