Mantis Integration not working TL 1.7

Hi All,

I have not logged this as a bug as I am sure it is me that is doing something wrong here;

I have followed the integration pdf from the home page to the letter. Incidentally I think there is a typo there as it states you should be editing the bugzilla file for mantis is this right?

Anyway, after all the configuration I end up with a REALLY SLOW testlink and no integration. I have read somewhere that I should test the connection to the mantis database from the testlink server, but I am not too sure as to how to do this. I have seen someone say "write a php app" however, my programming knowledge is limited, but I am keen to give it a try. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Any help would be much appreciated!
