Change Result for testcase via soap call or get result

I am looking at many testplan managers and this one seems like a good fit. It integrates with mantis. I just had one question. How hard is it to get data from the database? I want to use the testplan manager to store info about any automated tests and I want my automated test to be able to update the database with the result.
