Importing 1.8.5 cases to 1.9

Hi All,

When I import the XML files, the steps and the results are missing even though the XML format for both versions is the same. Has anyone encountered this issue and knows how to resolve it?

The xml format is not the same for 1.9. They have changed how the steps and results are recorded as part of the test cases. See forum enter in this section titled Test Steps for details.

I ran into a similar issue and got the answer of either change the 1.8.x xml to to match what 1.9 expect or when you do a upgrade install for the database it should correct the issue. But a a export from 8.5 and then import to 1.9 will drop the steps and results.

Thank you very much, WT1. I actually saw the difference after further investigation, but I will try to upgrade the original DB first.
