Step by Step Execution of a test case

Hi,

I am very new to test link , I have logged into the tool->

1.Created a test plan,test suite and test cases(with test steps).
2.Assigned the test cases to the test plan and test suite.
3.Navigated to Test Execution page and started executing the test cases
4.I thought I will be able to execute the test steps one by one
5.But I saw only the option where I can only update the 'Result' like 'Passed','Failed','Blocked' for a test case and NOT for a test step under a test case

Please let me know if I can execute a test case step by step or I can only update the overall execution result for a test case like like 'Passed','Failed','Blocked'

I added already a feature request in Mantis:

But it looks like that it did not find much favor.

result at step level requires a too big effort, and who know how bad impacts on performance (IMHO)
