Initiative to restart the TestLink QA group

Post by minimalromoy »

Goals:
1. To get more people interested in testing the upcoming software release.
2. Create a framework that allow many testers using the same system.
3. Create a automation framework then automation.
4. Have some fun << I am serious about this one. :)

Do you have any ideas on how to achieve any of the above?
Do you have some free time?
Do you know of any relatively cheap hosting for a test bed setup? (You wouldn't need to configure anything; just hop on the machine test, create test cases, or conquer the world.)

My Replies for some of them above

2 and 3 points:
We can have a generic framework, rather than complicating the framework with minimal standards we can have. Why not use the TestLink + Jenkins + Selenium (WEBdriver or RC) + TestNG (reporting) for execution.
