Bug in 3rd party library: ok to log in mantis?

Post by Legolas »

Hi, while upgrading an old 1.7.0 testlink to 1.9.5, I found that the old 'upgrade 1.7 to 1.8' and '1.8 to 1.9' are still present in the testlink code, but the '1.7 to 1.8' upgrade does not recognize an 1.7 install. After some searching, I tracked it down to a bug in the adodb library. I logged it at their forum: http://phplens.com/lens/lensforum/msgs.php?id=19359 . Is there any point in logging this in mantis as well (in other words: do you patch 3rd party libraries to fix issues their bugs cause in testlink)?

if a bug in a 3 party create issue on TL, you have to report on TL and on third party bug tracker.
We will take care ONLY to fix the piece in order to make TL work
