Requirement version related to the testcase

Is there a relation between the requirement specification VERSION and the testcase added to a testplan?

In my case:
I have created a requirement specification with all firmware version of the instruments.
This requirement is linked to the test specifications.

When a firmware version is changed I change it in the requirements. This become a new version of the requirements.

Is it possible to see what version of requirement is used for a specific testplan (with testcases assigned of course).
