So I like to know how we can change the type of identification for suites and test cases to suit the project.

can your provide more detailed info (an example) regarding what do you want to do?

I mean that if I create a new test suite or test case I would like use an specific code to identify the elements.
For example , I have a new tree test cases with an automatic ID define by application

now in our tree test cases we have the next ID structure

Test suite 1
test case 1 ( id : 1821-1 )
test case 2 ( id : 1821-2 )
test case 3 ( id : 1821-3 )

Test suite 2
test case 1 ( id : 1821-4 )
test case 2 ( id : 1821-5 )

In this case we have the ID 1821… and in advance all the other test case and the next one has the next order

But we would like to define an other ID , for exemple.

Test suite 1
A01-001-1
A01-001-2
A01-001-3

Test suite 2
A02-002-1
A02-002-2

Or there are other way to define this order , as import xml to testlink? or something else?

Thanks
Thank's in advance.

you are confusing things a lot.
you want different prefix id, for different testsuites and you are calling this order.
anyway can not be done test case prefix is defined at test project level

So, wich is the way to adapt or define the identity about test cases that we need?
It's possible with an import file , say to testlink which ID we want to each test case.
Thank's in advance.
