Wrong test case incrementation

Post by nivet1 »

Hi everyone,

I'm using Testlink for several years and it is a pleasure to use the latest version 1.9.13 !

I have detected a strange behaviour. I searched and did not find a topic already open on this point.

I work with other colleagues on a project with 300 test cases :
When I copied the test case 300 I expected to have 301 thanks to the auto incrementation, but instead I got 9025 !

I finally understood this figure :
Before copying , another colleague imported a test case from another project and this test case was the 9024 number
Testlink has taken over the last number from being imported.

is it a desired behavior or the copy should not take into account the import issue ?

Thans a lot for your help

If you provide external ID then TestLink will try to maintain it, this is a desired behavior
