Massive custom field assignment

I need your help in relation to a function that I can not do. I searched and did not find a topic already open on this point.

I have created a custom field and I want to assign it to a lot of tests cases.

Is it possible to assign massively a custom field ?

I didn't find the function...

what does means assign? provide same value for more than one test case ?
there is no bulk assignment for custom fields

Yes I want to assign the same value for more than one test case for custom fields. Is it possible to report a evolution for this point ?

you can ask for the feature on mantis, but there will be no estimated time of arrival (ETA), because IMHO is not a critic one and is far from simple.
It would be great if your company can sponsor custom (payed) development
