I did search the forums here, and did a Bing search as well, with no results. Before I file an incident in Mantis, I will ask here on the forum.
I am using 1.9.15 [DEV] (Tauriel). I have a Test Project, which until today, was configured to not use automation. I have a Test Case which does use automation, and I wish to have this reflected in the execution results when viewing a Test Report.
I changed the Test Project configuration to enable Automation. I modified the Test Case to use "Automated", and I modified the step within the Test Case" to use "Automated" as well. I deleted the existing Test Results, and submitted a new Test Execution. The Test Report still shows "Manual" for the execution mode on the test.
I decided to make a copy of the Test Case, using the "Move/Copy" feature, to see if a new copy would result in a display of "Automated' for the execution mode in the Test Report. The execution mode still displays as "Manual" for the Test Case. The step in the Test Case shows the execution mode as "Automated", but the Test Case itself still shows the execution mode as "Manual".
I then created a brand new Test Case, and manually configured it to show the execution as "Automated", and the one step within as "Automated" as well. This still resulted in the same rendering in the Test Report; the step shows "Automated" but the Test Case itself shows "Manual".
Has anybody seen this occur, where the Test Report shows "Manual" for a test case result when the test case is set to "Automated"; when the Test Project started without being configured for Automation, and was subsequently changed?
