DB updates in TL 1.9 Beta 2?

Can I just do a drop and replace on updated files in my TL 1.9 install, or are there db changes I need to worry about?
there are DB changes that must be done manually.
compare create_tables sql for both versions.
we do not provide automatic update while in Beta phase
