New Test Case Version to a Testplan

Post by MyKey0815 »

We have create a Test Case. Our Tester has made the Test and marked it as "Failed". Now we check the Test Case Definition and found that some important steps are missing. We create a new Version with the additional steps of the Test Case and want that the Tester check again with the same build number.

How can I do that? (The new version of Test Case is created - but in Testing is listing always the old version of the Test Case)

I have further question though.
Let's assume same situation.
I Deactivate current version of test case, as it's obviously wrong and create new version.
When I got to Update Linked Test Case Versions page, these test cases are marked as inactive, and i can't update the version!

Of course, i can first update the version, and then deactivate old one, but that's double the work.

(PS Bulk update to latest version works though, but it might still be problem for some).
