[SOLVED-NEW DOMAIN] teamst.org not accessible from AT&T ISP

Post by ansar »

Howdy All,

This is probably not the correct forum, but I couldn't decide where it should go.

I am not able to get to http://www.teamst.org from any AT&T connection (business, dsl, uverse, or mobile). I had my IT director contact AT&T and it seems they are blocking the subnet because of a botnet. I am guessing that smarthost.cz is in that subnet. AT&T is not blocking sourceforge, so you can still download updates. You just can't get to the forums or mantis. I asked my IT director to put in a request to AT&T for an excemption for this site, but I don't think they will do it.

Non AT&T ISPs work fine.

Thanks for your time.

I too have AT&T and the same trouble. I've already reported this to fman.

I'm glad to see that you got more info from AT&T as to why, though. I even tried to use a proxy-site in an attempt to "get around" the ISPs blockage, but it still did not help.

I've no idea. I think site is in Europe. do not think server provider has any responsability, but seems to be an AT&T issue

Yes, I agree that it is an AT&T issue. I was just letting you know last month, so that if you heard of other reports, this would already be known.

...but I'm glad someone else has reported the same, for I was beginning to think that it was just me!

Same for me here in Canada.
AT&T is also our ISP. I first though it was our firewall or proxy but no. I also have a confirmation that's it's an AT&T concern.
(i'm using an EU proxy to write this)
The IT departement is dealing with AT&T about it. we will see...
Any idea about which date this occurs?

For me, I noticed around mid June. [literally around the 15th]

I also have to use an alternative online proxy to get around the AT&T block.

i'm not sure what this means, but this is what i got today:
"Actually SOC team and other teams are working on this. Maybe the issue is that the public IP on Ashburn is black listed in Jumla website. We need to contact someone on jumla tech support to help on confirm this. "

Just for information, i have received a copy of the following:
"Hello Francisco,

As mentioned by AT&T Engineer, the web page administrator must contact the AT&T Security Team through the e-mail IPSCPSNOC AT att DOT com, identifying themselves as the administrator of the server by IP address 217.31.50.5 (www.teamst.org), in order to discuss the recent DDOS attacks that caused the IP address blocking on AT&T network.

There is not a specific person that you will look for, you will need to start a ticket with them.

Thank you."
