Using New Test Case Versions

I just installed testlink and I love it. That being said, after we run through an execution, we discover that some of the test cases need to be revised. I go into Test Specification, locate the test case and click on "New Version". I make my modifications and save. Unfortunately, when I make a new build for executing the tests, I still see the old versions being used.
Can someone point out where I am going wrong or what I am missing to make the new versions active?

Your testers execute those versions of test cases, which are included into a test plan.
I do think that you included version(s) 1 for test cases because you have no have version 2 by that moment.
So, as soon as a new version for a test case is ready, you have to add it to your test plan. For that TL allows selecting a version.
Another way - use "Update Linked Test Case Versions" (at the front TL page, right panel): select needed test case and select the version to use for the current test plan.
