Hi,
we use testlink mainly with two projects (corresponding to major sofwtare packages), each including a bunch of testcases. Organized in testplans with sometimes severeal builts and different selections of testcases that helps us organizing our test work quite well (we really like testlink!). With the time, some of the testcases (also complete folders with severel testcases) get obsolete. We would like to hide them, so they are not in the way building new testplans - but still present in the old ones. Now - moving them In a kind of gargabe folder moves the testcases as well in already closed testplans, which we have to keep unchanged for reference. Deleting is not possible. Is there any mechanism, which allows to hide testcases in the "navigator - testspecification" and "add testcases" view?
Thanks for any help; I searched in the forum but didn't find anything suitable - and all the best for 2016
Claudia

Re: Hide testcases
IMHO a post regarding this already exits and is related to TEST CASE STATUS ATTRIBUTE ( but you need to have TestLink 1.9.12 or up)

Re: Hide testcases
Hi,
thanks for the very fast response. We work with 1.9.13. OK, testcases can be defined as "obsolete". As long as all other testcases have one identical status, you can exclude the obsolete ones in both mentioned views and see all others. That's fine. A filter allowing more than one status would be very helpful in Testplan/Testcase developing work - I know, you don't need that to survive, but a filter just to exclude the obsolete ones is very helpful. As I understand, this topic should then go into the bug tracking system.
