Testlink with VPN Access

Has anyone ever tried to use testlink over a VPN?

we are using something called IVE or Instant Virtual Extranet.
What is happening Is I\'m getting an error loading any of the edit pages where the FCKEditor is being used

The Error is FCKCongig.CustomConfigurationsPath.length is null or not an object.

I can see this line in the fckconfig.js -
FCKConfig.CustomConfigurationsPath = \'\' ;

What would happen if I removed it ? Any body ever done this, or had a similar issue ?
