Critical-test build overwrite results of another test build

Post by nharoosh »

Hi,
We have encountered a very troubling issue in which results of an older test build overwrite results of another test build. Are u familiar with issue?
I will be very happy to see what might caused this.
We are working with TestLink ver. 1.6.2.

I have not used 1.6 version. But that was the expected behavior in 1.8 version as well. Say if you have 10 test cases excuted in build 1 then out of them when you executed all of them and results are 8 pass and 2 fail. then you got a second build and then you exucted all of them are pass. so the previous build status gets updated, but subsequently the report results also gets modified accordingly. What i suggest you is try to upgradea higher version say 1.8.5 and then search through Query metrics. May be your problem can be solved partly.
Thanks,

Hi Amaradana. Thanks for replying my question. I'll see what can be done regarding replacing the TestLink to ver. 1.8.5. I have another issue, and I wonder if u saw it: we entered 'Blocked' result to test case on 28.2.10. Today on 3.2.10, we have updated this result to 'Pass'. What we get in the state bar that appears above the test case is the name of the tester that updated the test, with date of 28.2.10. We see it a lot, and I can't understand what is causing it, since the date of the PC is updated to 2.3.10
