Test Case Id should Change from Product to Product

How Do i Change the Test Case Id from product to product i.e If Product 1 starts the Test Case id from 1 then product 2 should also start from 1

It's not possible Test case ID is unique identifier.

You can create a dummy Product; 'DummyProduct to Copy Components'.
Copy the component of the test case you want to copy the dummy product.
Then copy the component from the dummy product to the product you want to copy the test case to.

This doesn't make any sence, why would you not have separate test case numbers for separate products, especially when you don't allow the same test case to be shared between products.
I can understand that if the products were separate then you should have separate test case ids, and I understand that if the products can share test cases then you would have unique id's. But not sharing test cases and having unique ids just doesn't seem right, it's like using a vending machine that only accepts other countires money. The two 'features' are conflicting.

I think that an appropriate solution could be allowing one more field for custom Test Case ID. I use such solution on one project (not TL).
TC ID functionality doesn't change from 1.0 version. I agree that it should be updated.

Then the custom test case ID needs to be incremented automatically, otherwise importing/intering 2000 test cases and trying to assign a custom test case ID to each by hand will be very painfull.
