The release 1.6 is going to be unsupported by Community. Because our effort moves ahead. However there are still valuable informations for you.

multiple Sessions not (more) allowed?

Post by buddy1515 »

With TL1.5.1 it was possible to have more than one Instance of TL open.
So you could edit testcase1 in session 1 and search/copy text from another testcase in session 2 without leaving edit mode of testcase1.
This is not more possible. System requires logout action when starting a second instance of Testlink.
Is it possible to have the old behaviour from TL1.5.1 back again?

the problem with multiple session is that if you open two session as a different user there are problems, due to the way PHP manage session (or may be we do not know enough to configure it properly).
For more details look for the Session Confusion issue on Mantis

Be carefull with the Mantis filter on status

Only one session is possible. It\'s requirement.
You can of course open an edit frame in a new tab/window. This help you to do it in one session.
You can create a new functionality request (open TC in extra window). I think that it\'s a useful. It was partly possible in 1.0.4.

External links to test cases

Post by andris »

It was really convenient in prevous versions that testcases were available for reading by external links without login (though with err message in 1.5). Developers and analysts often ask for testcases and it was very easy to email required links. Pity that it is gone
