Is there any news on the release date of TestLink 1.8?
Roadmap states release as of March 2008 ...

What are the main improvements?
(we are struggling with the complexity of the UI, will there be any improvements in that area?)

Maybe complexity was not the right wording. I would prefer using usability. When doing an internal demo of TestLink, most reactions where that the ui seemed a bit old-fashioned and that there was a lot of administration to do before actually being able to start executing tests. It did not feel like a simple straightforward thing to use. My collegues have the impression that TL has a steep learning curve while a tool like this should be very easy to use.

I just saw that UI is one of the action points for version 1.8 in the roadmap. I want to know what the main improvements are in that area.

we have improved at graphical level UI, but not a lot.
Anyway I think UI can be a little bit cumbersome but not a lot.
Please write down a doc with a proposal i.e. your ideal UI for TL
