Editor support for testlink

Hi All,
I am planning to integrate an editor with test link. I am searching for any open source editor if available which supports XML, .dat, .py etc file format or I need to develop the same.Any idea which open source editor is better to integrate or any suggestion to develop the same.

Please suggest.Your suggestion is important for me!!!

I suggest to use external editor (for example in Eclipse) and send data or script to TestLink via API (available in 1.8 version).
I'm not aware full featured development editor available.

is it possible to integrate eclipse or some other editor as part of testlink.I mean to say like a tab in testlink.
