Execution Notes

I have noticed that execution notes cannot be altered oince submitted. Is there a way to change this? I can't even copy from the notes window , I definately need to be able to do that... is there a configuration somewhere for that?

1. this can be done on 1.8
2. on mantis one user have added code to do this on 1.7.
