JIRA

Post by fnalivaika »

Hello,

At work we use JIRA Enterprise as a bug-tracking system. JIRA uses PostgreSQL database. And recently we've installed TestLink as our test-case management system. The problem is that version 1.6.2 of the MySQL-based TestLink cannot function with PostgreSQL-based JIRA (well, at least if our developers won't tewak it, which is not an option in the nearest time).

The question is - if you're adding PostgreSQL support to TestLink 1.7, will there be any simple way to keep it working based on MySQL while integrating it with PostgeSQL-based JIRA? A bug-tracking system's parameters section on the install page would be nice.

Unfortunatelly nobody from core developers use Jira. I can just offer to add your implemetation to the next build.

Integration with Jira would be great for us also.

We are using Jira, and evaluating Testlink. Integration between testlink and jira would be great. Let me know if we can do something

I was doing the test of TL on Postgres, but during last 3 months I've no time to upgrade the schema to last changes.

What you can do is:

1. download a nigtly tar ball
2. install TL on MySQL
3. configure JIRA access to use Postgres
4. let us know the results of your tests.

regards
