how to handle differnt project version?

How does every handle different project versions in test link?

Do you guys create a new project name with the new version and new project plan with the new project plan version?

so the test project drop-down list would show.

Project 1 v.01
Project 1 v.02 etc.

At this point we are using the Test Project for the name of the project and the Test Plan for the version string. We currently run several projects and each project has several versions and this was the easiest to fit in with our organization.

So I was looking say create test project: e.g website

Test plan website 1.0 - create test cases and attach to webiste 1.0 test plan & Execute

Test plan webiste 1.1 - create new test cases and attach to website 1.1 test plan & execute.

But on the execute page test link shows all the available test cases, should this be the case? or should it only show the test cases attached to the Website 1.1 test plan?
