General questions to missing features in TestLink 1.7.0 RC 2

My company uses test link for the test process. My problem is I am responsible for regression tests now and the documented tests in Test Link all need to be changed. So I would like to change them while executing, but under Execution there is no possibility to change the test cases or their order. Is this possible under the newest release?

Why is a new test case not opened automatically for editing it, if the user has edit permissions? Why is the reorder functionality not possible in general in the navigation on the left side of the screen?
Why is it impossible to open a test case from the Test Report (normal view)?
All these topics would improve the usability of TestLink a lot, as they would mean less clicks.


Apart from that it would be great to open at least 2 test cases at the same time. And it would be great if the comment to a test result could be stored with it and would not be lost (and if it could be copied and edited).

Do already change requests exist which address these topics ?

Why a lot of things are not possible?
Because first time you think about a feature, you missed some ideas.
Or maybe because (as usual) is easier and quicker to ask for a feature
than develop it.
Then:
for every feature you consider is missing:

a) wait till release 1.8 to see if feature is there
b) get CVS code HEAD, install and test
c) create ONE ISSUE ON MANTIS for every request.

In other hand, may be we have considered yet some of these features
and had rejected it because make user interface too difficult..

We are open to any kind of comment/suggestion, and more to development contributions.
