But Quality team was under-equipped.

Before it was an excel world of test plan, where each product quality manager has his data and metrics ... unmaintenable, undocumented, unreliable ..;

So after a month of trying several products and considering some commercial products like AutomatedQA Software Planner, we choose to go into TestLink.

The choice was made on:
- key features (Mantis bugtracker integration, automation support, requirements support, TC versionning, API)
- price,
- community,
- roadmap.

Configuration and link to Mantis bugtracker were done easily.

Now we try to integrate TestComplete with TestLink .. story still going on but we are confident

Currently we have 5 test projects with roughly hundred of test suites and roughly a thousand of test cases (the half were imported from excel).

The very main issue is that attended results not synchronised with steps. Others issues are minors.

Just to inform that we succeeded quite easily to integrate the automation tool TestComplete 7.52 with TestLink 1.8.5.

The target to a professional way of project testing with TestLink is closer every week

Currently we run under Testlink 1.9 beta 5 and with 6 test projects we have nearly 4 000 tests cases, performance is ok under ie 7 and ie 8 but very slow on firefox (3.6.x).

Still enjoying it ... still discovering little frustrating things .. but enjoy override frustration

Now the main concern is about reporting .. not so easy to build correct reports.
